ABOUT

Why Greer

In Summer, Greer is an escape from lower elevation temperatures. Wildflowers sprout in alpine meadows alive with native wildlife including antelope, deer, elk, turkey, and black bears in Spring. Autumn means burnished leaves and crisp temperatures. Snow transforms the town into a Winter wonderland in the Winter.

Recreational opportunities abound in every season. The clear waters of the Little Colorado River run right through town and three lakes offer sport fishing for trout. There’s also hiking, hunting, horseback riding, and skiing.

Checkout the oldest lodge in Arizona, the Molly Butler Lodge, and don’t miss the winged beauties at the Butterfly Lodge Museum.
